Systems Explained
If I could score higher than a 10 for ALL of the answers I most certainly would! Gary Cousins has to be one of the most honest, reliable tradespersons I have ever had the pleasure to have come across, I can’t recommend him highly enough. He certainly is worth his weight in gold.

Combination boilersCombination boilers (also known as combi’s) are fast becoming the number one choice for homeowners across surrey and south London. They are low maintenance and deliver constant supplies of instant hot water. (See combi vs conventional page for the pros and cons) |
|
Unvented cylindersUnvented cylinders are considered to be the Rolls-Royce of hot water delivery when installed alongside a system boiler. Unvented cylinders deliver mains water pressure to the whole house and eliminate the need for cold-water tanks in the loft. They require minimum 22 litres per minute of flow to work to their full potential, so good mains water pressure is essential. |
|
Conventional / Regular boiler:Conventional boilers are the traditional systems that have been around for years. They work alongside a cold-water tank in the loft and a hot water cylinder. They have a feed tank in the loft along with a open vent, making the system open to the atmosphere. Shower pumps can be attached to this type of system for maximum shower experience. |

System BoilersSystem boilers are the same as conventional boilers but are pressurized. This means they are fed directly from the mains water with no feed tank or open vent pipe. |
